The 2025 Åland Christmas stamps spread warmth and consideration

On 23 October, Åland Post releases this year’s Christmas stamps on the theme of ‘togetherness’. With warmth and a personal tone, Åland artist Jonas Wilén has illustrated two charming Christmas stamps that capture the joy of shared moments and experiences.

The Christmas stamps illustrate two heart-warming moments: the joy of skating side by side and writing a letter to someone you care for.

“Christmas is one of our most beloved holidays. Sending a Christmas card with a handwritten greeting is a simple but meaningful way to spread joy. This year’s Christmas stamps highlight that feeling – that small acts of consideration and kindness can mean a great deal,” says Johanna Finne, design manager at Åland Post Stamps.

Artist Jonas Wilén, one of Åland’s most experienced stamp illustrators, has interpreted the theme of togetherness with personal style and a warm expression.

“I wanted to convey the joy of sharing an experience with someone else. Christmas is a time when we can truly be together. It also reminds us how wonderful it is to be generous,” Jonas says.

This year’s Christmas edition also includes a sheet of self-adhesive Christmas seals for decorating cards and packages, designed by Jonas Wilén on the theme of togetherness. The surplus from the sale of Christmas seals goes to charitable causes in Åland, and the beneficiary will be presented in a separate press release later this autumn.
