From February 6 to 22, 2026, the XXV Olympic Winter Games will take place in the northern Italian cities of Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo, as well as in Val di Fiemme and Valtellina. Athletic ambition, fairness, and the Olympic spirit will take center stage in 116 competitions across 16 disciplines. Philately Liechtenstein is dedicating a special stamp to this major sporting event and the participating delegation of the Liechtenstein Olympic Team. The “Olympic flame” stamp (face value CHF 1.20) shows the symbolic flame that is traditionally lit in the ruins of Olympia in Greece.
