2011Malta-Iceland Joint Issue - Miniature Sheet

Iceland and Malta are the northrnmost and southermost islands in Europe. Fishing has been a fundamental economic, social and cultural activity for centuries on these two islands. Iceland Post and MaltaPost are now collaborating on a Joint Stamp issue to reflect this connection by using ' Fishing Villlages' as the Theme. Husavik is the motif of the Icelandic miniature sheet whilst the village of Mgarr,Gozo is depicted on the Maltese sheet.
