Children’s Aland

The 2025 stamp booklet highlights children’s creativity and creative zest.

The stamp issue is the result of creative cooperation between Åland Post Stamps and the School of Art & Design in Mariehamn. Art school students aged 6 – 16 were asked to freely create drawings, and the selected stamp motifs show an imaginative and colourful interpretation of Åland.

Founded in 1985, the School of Art & Design in Mariehamn celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2025. The school offers art and design courses for children and young people between the ages of 5 and 19.

The term Inrikes on the stamp indicates a specific value when used as postage for a letter or card. The value of Inrikes corresponds to the current postage for a postal item weighing up to 50 grams and sent to Finland.
