About Gustavo Bacarisas 150th Anniversary
Gustave Charles Bacarisas was born in Gibraltar on 23 September 1872 and began to show his artistic promise from a young age. He was granted a scholarship at the age of 19 in 1892 by a group of Gibraltarian businessmen to study art in Rome.
